The good old Vista driver is accepted by Win 8.1.Scan performed on, Computer: Sony VGN-TX72B_B - Windows 7 64 bit There is NO need, however, to search for updated driver (which is likely non-existantĪnyway). Remark: it is advisable to remove the respective UI from the list of automatically starting programs plus it worth checking the modem in device manager whether driver is OK. My assumption that removing this file from the system may help was correct, booting problem disappeared and the mobile internet stick was working. That was however true, that this file was not digitally signed by producer (BiteMobile). Having made an attempt to learn more details about this file I found a lot of hints of possible malware or trojan I learned from the respective log (SrtTrail) that a 'damaged' file bmload.sys in system32/drivers directory was the sole cause of the problem. Repeated normal rebooting attempts, however, failed the same way as above. Then Windows started normally and even the newly installed device was working

Recently I tried to install it on a new laptop with Windows 8.1.įollowing the obligatory reboot Windows did start an automatic repair process which failed and I had to select special booting option No7 to ignore digital signature of driver.
I used ZTE 626 USB dongle for several years on multiple Win 7 devices without any problem to get internet access.
